Browser notifications alert you to important events even when Orbit is in the background.
What triggers notifications:
- High-priority follow-up reminders
- Interview reminders (day of)
- Offer received
- Subscription events (payment issues, upcoming charges)
How to enable:
- Click the bell icon in the top nav
- Click "Enable Notifications" when prompted
- Allow notifications in your browser permission dialog
Troubleshooting:
- Safari macOS: Orbit uses a Service Worker for push notifications. Make sure Safari notifications are enabled in System Settings > Notifications.
- Chrome/Firefox: Check the notification permission in your browser's site settings.
- Mobile: Browser notifications may be limited. Use the in-app notification panel instead.
You can disable notifications at any time through your browser's site settings.
