Orbit's hosted AI features have per-tier usage limits that reset each billing period.
Limits by tier:

Unlimited plan: No limits. You bring your own API key, so usage is governed by your provider's rate limits and billing.
What happens when you hit a limit:
The feature returns a 429 error with a message explaining which limit was reached. You will see a prompt to either upgrade your plan or purchase an AI Budget Boost (Pro and Ultra only).
How to check your usage:
- Go to Settings > Billing
- Your current usage is displayed alongside your limits
- Usage resets automatically at the start of each billing period
AI Budget Boost:
Pro and Ultra subscribers can purchase one-time boosts to extend their budget mid-cycle. Small ($1.99, adds $2.00) or Large ($4.99, adds $5.00). See the AI Budget Boost help article for details.
Tips for staying within limits:
- Use Scout Chat for targeted questions rather than general conversation
- Resume Tailor and Cover Letter generations count per click, so review the preview before regenerating
- Agent runs are most efficient when your pipeline data is up to date
Tip: If you consistently exceed your limits, upgrading to the next tier is more cost-effective than purchasing multiple boosts.
